During an audition for the lead female role in "The Doors" in 1989, Val Kilmer reportedly punched and pushed actress Caitlin O’Heaney to the floor. Although the scene did not call for any physical violence, director Oliver Stone found the incident humorous, and the production company later compensated O’Heaney with a $24,500 settlement to keep the matter private.

Jack Churchill is the only man confirmed to have made a longbow kill during World War II. Known for carrying a longbow, broadsword, and bagpipes, he played the pipes before battles and survived the war. His motto was, "Any officer who goes into action without his sword is improperly dressed."
